The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board of the City of Panama City adopted its fiscal year 2026 budgets on Sept. 2, approving resolution CRA20250902.1. The resolution appropriates funding for each CRA district for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2025, and ending Sept. 30, 2026.
Staff told the board the budgets were prepared in compliance with Florida Statute 163.3876 and Florida Statute 189.016(3) and that, after adoption, staff will produce a fiscal year 2026 annual work plan that includes goals, objectives and performance measures required under Florida Statute 189.0694. The work plan must be published on the CRA website by Oct. 1, 2025, staff said.
Board members confirmed line items discussed during the budget workshops — including allocations for Truesdale Park, a $200,000 CRA interior allocation for Truesdale paired with HRP funding for exterior and parking, an allocation for the Boys & Girls Club and an ongoing allocation for the St. Andrews publishing museum — will be refined in the work plan. The board approved the budgets on a roll‑call vote with all members present voting yes.
The adopted budgets will be incorporated into the City of Panama City’s overall FY2026 budget and presented at the city’s public budget hearings on Sept. 9 and Sept. 23, 2025.
