Pulaski County Fiscal Court on July 24 approved a resolution concerning a section of Old Kentucky 80 near the 914 bypass that staff said must be reconfigured to allow pending property sales adjacent to a gas station and a church.

County staff described the situation: the old route (noted in meeting materials as CR‑1488LL/Old Kentucky 80) includes west and east segments; the west segment will be taken back into the county road system while other portions will be removed from the auxiliary system and become private property after sale. To maintain access, the county will extend County Road 1488K by 25 feet to preserve ingress to parcels for the gas station and the church. Staff referenced an earlier 2011 instrument signed by a previous judge and said the county must submit the signed resolution and exhibits to Frankfort to reverse prior recorded actions.

The court passed the resolution by motion of Mr. Strunk and second of Mr. Wilson. County staff said closing the action will allow the buyer at the gas station parcel and the church (identified in the meeting as Celine Church) to obtain needed access.

Ending: Staff will sign and file the resolution with state recorders in Frankfort to effect the transfer and preserve access for affected parcels.
