Gardner committee closes FY22–23 social‑services grants; staff rolls out clearer FY24 reporting forms

The steering committee reported Sept. 23 that FY22–23 social‑services grant agreements funded with CDBG have been fully paid and administratively closed.
Officials said all youth services and homelessness prevention providers received payments and that providers have expressed satisfaction with payments being completed. The committee voted to place the FY22–23 social‑services item on file.
Staff described new FY24 grant agreements that clarify quarterly reporting requirements and a new reporting form designed to make invoicing easier for providers. Assistant Director Amy said all FY24 grant agreements have been returned except one (the Gardner athletic program), which staff expect to receive soon.
Staff noted some agencies already invoiced under FY24: JEM has invoiced for and claimed its full grant and submitted the required quarterly report; Voices of Truth has submitted two invoices and is about halfway through spending its funds. Committee members commended the clearer process; Director Stevens said the updated paperwork will help the city meet EOHLC and HUD reporting requirements.
