The Gardner City redevelopment authority reported Sept. 23 that demolition work at 205–213 Main Street was finished in mid-June and final retainage payments and purchase orders have been closed out.
The committee heard that the project is administratively closed in Intelligrants and with city purchase orders and that the redevelopment authority is in active discussions about a private sale of the property. Because land‑sale negotiations are being handled in executive session, officials declined to name potential buyers or provide sale terms.
Committee members agreed, without objection, to keep the item on future agendas until a closing is completed. Chair noted there were no further questions about the item.
The matter will return to the committee for a public update when the executive‑session land sale can be disclosed.
