The Lacey City Council voted to award two public-works construction contracts: a $1,296,654 award to RW Scott Construction Company for the 2025 sidewalk repair project (contract PW2025-02) and a $2,569,661.06 award to Pacific Civil and Infrastructure for Lift Station 9 improvements (contract PW2024-13).
Public Works Director Scott Ager presented the sidewalk program and staff recommendation to accept the low bid. Ager said the project will replace more than 45,000 square feet of sidewalk in multiple neighborhoods, addressing offsets and damaged panels. The engineer's estimate was $1,780,000 and 13 bidders submitted proposals. The contract allows 160 working days and staff estimated work would begin in October.
