Superior council approves three street vacations, sidewalk contract, appointments and trash-code change

The council confirmed Chris Carlson to the assistant public works director position after a motion and second. Council members offered brief congratulations after the confirmation.
Planning staff approved a request from the South End Days event organizers to hang promotional banners on the Webster Park fence; the banners will be posted June 13 and removed July 19. The council voted to grant the request.
Public Works recommended awarding the town’s annual sidewalk replacement contract to Hovland Concrete Masonry and Design Inc.; the council approved the contract award in the meeting. The contract amount announced in the meeting was $341,100.75.
