Board asks staff for multiple follow-up reports: assistant-principal formula, Title I parameters, program evaluations and management review

Member Domínguez requested the formula the district uses to determine which schools receive full or partial assistant-principal support and asked staff to bring the formula and staffing tables for board review at the next meeting. She also asked for a district report detailing the parameters, criteria and exceptions governing Title I fund usage, citing parent concerns that some campuses lack playground equipment while funds roll over.
Trustees requested an evaluation of a small-group intervention/tutoring program (discussed in public comment) to show academic effectiveness and financial implications, including whether the program will continue. Another request asked the superintendent to produce materials that explain report-card scores to parents (a key/legend to help parents interpret a numeric grade scale). The board also sought a scope for a management-assistance review of district processes (procurement, posting and staffing) to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
The board asked staff to consider convening a special meeting late in February focused on roles and responsibilities of board members and to return with a proposed scope and timeline for the requested reviews.
