Board approves consent calendar, accepts audit and adopts bond- and procurement-related resolutions

The Chula Vista Elementary School District board voted on a slate of consent- and action-agenda items on Tuesday, approving multiple contracts, ratifying awards and adopting several resolutions.

Key approvals included acceptance of the annual fiscal audit for the year ending June 30, 2024; adoption of a resolution certifying procedures for the Nov. 5, 2024 general-obligation bond election; and adoption of an emergency procurement resolution to extend a contract for a generator under cited public-contracts code sections. The board also approved multiple facilities agreements (including an architectural services agreement for the Valle Lindo modernization and construction-management/monitoring services) and ratified awards and contracts listed on the consent calendar.

Consent calendar items were reviewed and several were pulled for separate discussion. Board members asked clarifying questions on items including payroll and personnel descriptions, pool maintenance invoices, and contractor roles. The board approved the consent calendar as amended.
