Aurora council confirms two mayoral appointments to advisory panels

The Aurora City Council on April 8 unanimously approved two mayoral appointments to local advisory bodies.
Robert Dunn, a public safety official who led the pledge earlier in the session, was appointed to the Veil Service Commission after a motion by Alderman Garza and a second from Alderman Franco. The council approved the resolution by a roll call vote of 12–0. Mayor Paula Irvin invited Dunn to stand and acknowledged him after the vote.
Marguerite Blitch, co-pastor of Grace Deliverance Outreach Ministries and the meeting’s invocation leader, was approved for the Mayor’s Sustainable Aurora Advisory Board. The motion to approve Blitch was made by Alderman Smith and seconded by Alderman Franco; the council again voted 12–0.
Both appointments were presented under the mayoral appointments portion of the agenda and drew no substantive discussion before the roll calls. Mayor Irvin noted the approvals after each vote.
The appointments take effect immediately as advisory positions; no further council action on the two resolutions was recorded at the meeting.
The meeting also included brief ceremonial remarks recognizing the appointees.
