Itasca board accepts low bids for Public Works flooring and Pierce Road sidewalk extension

At the Aug. 20 meeting Trustee Anthony Ianni presented two capital-infrastructure items and the board voted to accept low bids for both.
First, Ianni presented a budgeted purchase and installation of traction flooring for the Public Works facility, procured through an intergovernmental purchasing system. The low bid was $25,546.74 from VersPro LLC (motion record referenced Diversify Pro LLC in the meeting packet); Ianni said the item had been budgeted at $26,000. "It is a budgeted item," he said. The board approved the purchase by roll call.
Second, the board accepted the low bid from Trigger Construction Inc. for the Pierce Road sidewalk extension for $727,095. Ianni said the project is for an 8-foot-wide aggregate walk along the north side of Pierce Road and noted the bid exceeded the originally budgeted amount. He said approximately 82% of the sidewalk cost will be financed through a special service area (SSA), with the remainder to come from the capital projects fund. The board approved the low bid by roll call.
Both motions were seconded and carried on voice/roll-call votes recorded during the meeting. Contract award documentation and final vendor names, insurance and bonds will be verified by staff before contracts are executed.
