Cass County Collector Chris Moldover told the commission on Oct. 15 that the county’s 2025 real-estate tax bills are in production and are scheduled to be mailed Oct. 31.
"Those bills will be mailed on the 30 first," Moldover said on the record, noting taxpayers can view bills after Nov. 1 at casscountycollector.com. He advised residents to call the collector’s office if they have not received a bill by Nov. 5 or Nov. 6 to avoid penalties and interest.
Moldover said the county’s online portal for real-estate escrow and bulk-pay accounts at autoagent.com will go live Nov. 1. He said the portal will facilitate payments for about 24,000 homes that are handled through escrow or bulk pay arrangements.
The collector also reported the county has 9,415 senior-citizen property-tax accounts enrolled in the senior property-tax program and that most of those bills are frozen for now; 49 accounts reflected a decrease. He urged taxpayers who believe their bill is missing or delayed to contact the collector’s office for assistance.
Moldover said merchant-license renewals for businesses were mailed last week for the coming licensing period in 2026. He asked business owners who did not receive a renewal to contact the collector’s office for help.
No action was required on the remarks, which were entered during the public-comment portion of the meeting and placed on the record by the clerk.
