The Tinley Park Village Board on Sept. 16 adopted multiple proclamations and resolutions, approved two ordinances and confirmed two personnel appointments during a regularly scheduled meeting.
The board voted on proclamations designating Sept. 17–23 as Constitution Week and September 2025 as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and adopted a resolution recognizing Oct. 5–11, 2025, as Fire Prevention Week. The board also adopted two ordinances: one to amend the municipal code that governs the permitted number of liquor licenses (Ordinance 2025-O-030) and a second to impose a new simplified telecommunications tax (Ordinance 2025-O-031). The board approved a resolution supporting a Cook County Class 8 application for 17201 Ridgeland Ave. for Integrity Wall Panel Inc.; approved an agreement with Signature Systems for subsurface material for the synthetic ice rink at Harmony Square in the amount of $237,610; and adopted an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Cook County to close out the Tinley Park Transportation Improvements (90 Fourth Avenue) project and process a final $700,000 reimbursement payment.
Trustees also confirmed the appointment of Eva Medrano as human resources coordinator, effective Sept. 29, 2025, and appointed Jane Holt as an associate member of the Economic Commercial Commission. The meeting included routine consent-agenda approval; the board indicated no items were removed from consent.
Votes and formal actions were taken by roll call and recorded as carried in the meeting minutes. Where a roll call was read aloud, the transcript registers the trustees as voting "yes" on the listed items.
The meeting included presentations and public comments (described in separate articles) but no additional debate or substantive amendments to the listed ordinances and resolutions was recorded on the floor prior to adoption.
The village clerk recorded roll-call votes for each item and the motions were passed as announced at the meeting.
