The Waukegan Finance & Purchasing Committee on Aug. 18 approved a resolution authorizing the IT department to procure professional services from Impact Networking LLC for an amount not to exceed $45,858.
Staff told the committee that professional services are a defined exemption from the formal bidding procedure under the city procurement code (section 2-458 subsection I-4), and that funding will come from GL line 100-103724801. The staff recommendation described the purchase as necessary for IT department professional services and requested authority up to $45,858; the motion was approved without recorded opposition.
Alderman Martinez moved the resolution and Alderman Bolton seconded. A roll-call vote recorded all present aldermen voting yes (Alderman Newsome, Alderman Florian, Alderman Bolton, Alderman Felix, Alderman Martinez). The resolution passed and staff may now execute the purchase subject to the city’s procurement policies and the cited professional-services exemption.
