The Orem City Planning Commission on Oct. 15 approved a site plan for Abenisian Motors, located generally at 662 East 1700 South in the C-2 Community Commercial zone. The approval covers on-site improvements only; the building itself will remain unchanged.

Staff said the site plan will improve the lot surface, provide ADA-compliant access and two ADA parking stalls (including a van-accessible stall), add defined parking to reduce curbside parking on the street, and add landscaping intended to improve storm drainage. Staff said the plans include eight new trees and that the technical review committee worked with the applicant to finalize storm-drainage details.

The site covers approximately 0.46 acres, staff said. Access points to the property and the building location will not change.

Commissioner Rod moved to approve the requested site plan; Commissioner Mike seconded. The commission approved the site plan on a voice vote.

Staff said the project had completed development review and technical committee checks; no public hearing was recorded on the item in the transcript.
