The Revere City commission approved two related amendments to Title 10, Schedule 8 of the municipal code to update no-parking restrictions on Lincoln Street.
Commissioners said the changes are largely bookkeeping to reflect a street reconfiguration predating Route 1. "This is kind of just a bookkeeping item. This is, I believe this no parking was predates Route 1. So I just like to clean that up and make this a little clear since Lincoln Street doesn't go to Washington anymore," the chair said.
The two ordinance changes remove a "No parking anytime" designation on Lincoln Street northerly from Washington Avenue to Burbank Street and add a "No parking anytime" designation on Lincoln Street northerly from [portion described in packet] to Vivian Street. No public proponents or opponents spoke for these items, and the commission approved the changes by motion.
City Engineer Nicholas Rystrom moved to approve; the chair seconded. The chair announced the items approved and noted the two items were handled in tandem to align the code with the current roadway layout.
