Carroll said he intends to add approximately 12 feet of workshop space on the hangar back and keep a portion enclosed as a shop with an exterior garage door for deliveries.
FAA and permitting: Applicants and Lance discussed the FAA Form 7460/7460-1 short-notice mapping requirement (referred to in the meeting as the "74 60" form) and a 30-day notice requirement. Lance said he could file the FAA form for applicants and offered to submit it on their behalf, adding, "It only takes me about 15 minutes to submit 1 of those." Board members confirmed the county building inspector (Troy) can backdate permits if needed and that construction could proceed with the airport board’s support while the FAA notice is in process.
Insurance and lease logistics: Board members reminded applicants that Broadwater County Airport must be named an additional insured on hangar policies. Leona (county staff) will handle billing and paperwork and the signed leases must go before the county commission per county procedure.
