Competing Nixa and Ozark blood drives set for Sept. 25; organizers urge donors

Organizers urged residents to donate at competing blood drives in Nixa and Ozark on Sept. 25, speakers said during the public-comment portion of a local meeting.

Resident 2 also told listeners, "Come out September 25."

Speakers framed the event as a community benefit rather than a contest with policy implications. Resident 1 joked that the trophy "is gonna be staying in Ozark," while Resident 2 said they intended to "bring this trophy back to Nixa," and the exchange ended with a lighthearted, "No. He's He's not. So stay in Ozark where he belongs."
