Humes said about 70% of the CA2 fee increase is from third-party easement acquisition work, including surveys and title work, and that project consultant fees and added scope have contributed to higher costs. He also said construction funding will include a $5,000,000 congressional directive from Senator Inhofe.
Staff recommended approving CA2 for a fee stated earlier in the meeting as $574,446, authorizing the general manager to execute CA2 and related documents, authorizing total project expenditures (figure in the transcript is not clearly stated), and approving a related budget amendment. Trustees moved, seconded and approved the staff recommendation by a 5-0 vote.
