Medina Council approves Blake Avenue reconstruction, secures grant and county sewer contributions

Medina City Council on Oct. 14 approved a reconstruction project for Blake Avenue that will replace pavement, water lines, storm sewers and sanitary sewers and be paid from a combination of grant, county and city funds.
The project estimate is $801,000. The city received an Ohio Public Works grant of $485,000 and the county sanitary engineer will contribute $102,000 toward replacement of the sanitary sewers, leaving the city’s share at roughly $213,000, Mayor Hamill said during council discussion.
