Trustees congratulate multiple classroom grant winners; board approves consent agenda, personnel resignations and Craftsman Center MOU

“Might enable students to cope with their feelings, decrease classroom conflict, and increase coping skills,” another presenter said of the Poznan grant (presenter unnamed in the public excerpt).
After the presentations the board moved through its consent agenda. Trustee Nia made the motion to approve the consent agenda as presented; the motion was seconded and passed by a voice/hand vote recorded as 6–0 with one member absent.
On personnel items, trustees approved resignations of staff as presented. The motion to approve personnel resignations passed on a motion by Trustee Joe, seconded by Trustee Cheryl; the board recorded the motion as carrying 6–0 with one abstention.
Trustees also considered an amended MOU with the Craftsman Center to support plumbing coursework at Taylor High School. The district’s staff member who presented the MOU said the center’s support of a high‑school staff position has not changed but the number of courses being offered was adjusted because of enrollment: separating Plumbing I and Plumbing II required an upward adjustment in the district’s monetary commitment so both courses can continue to run. Trustee Anita moved to approve the MOU; the motion passed 6–0 with one member absent.
