Youth diversion program reports increased referrals and school coordination

The Sawyer County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council heard an update on youth justice and diversion at its Sept. 10 meeting. Program staff reported that July was a busy month, with 11 referrals after several quieter months.

The council reported positive early outcomes from truancy court and said families have been responsive to outreach.
