The Nixa Police Department handled 559 calls for service, 143 traffic stops and seven crashes this week, Corporal Young of the Nixa Police Department said.

Six of the crashes were noninjury and one involved injuries, the corporal said. The department recorded 47 reports and seven arrests during the period.

“Seven arrests were made: two were warrant arrests and five were described as miscellaneous,” Corporal Young said. “The department also reported two felony arrests and five misdemeanor arrests.”
