Vicky Marsh (appearing remotely) explained that a quitclaim conveys the current state of title and that the town will receive a marketable title. Town staff and board members thanked Marsh and others for the years of effort; meeting discussion noted the matter had been in process for roughly 20 years and required multiple Coast Guard real-estate contacts to finalize.
Action and vote: The Select Board voted unanimously by roll call to accept the deed (Malcolm McNabb, Matt Faye, Brooke Moore, Tom Dixon and Don Hill voting Aye).
Context: Staff said the transfer traces to a congressional act that transferred the land to the town but required Coast Guard real-estate actions to complete the paperwork. Board members thanked staff for the effort needed to finalize the transaction.
