The Canyon City Commission opened a public hearing May 20 on Ordinance 12‑32, which would annex the Phantom Creek subdivision into the city and extend city regulations to the property.
Lucas, Director of Planning and Development, described the session as a public hearing only: “This is just an item holding a public hearing for the annexation of Phantom Creek,” he said, and told the commission the item will return next month for final adoption and formal acceptance of the property into the city.
No members of the public signed in to speak during the hearing; the commission closed the hearing without public comment.
Next step: Staff will bring the ordinance back for formal adoption at the next commission meeting.
