A staff member explained the restroom project began several years ago with a different contractor and was left incomplete; the city has since recovered funds from the bonding company. The requested $400,000 covers the restroom completion and ancillary items staff said the city wanted included before, such as sidewalks, lighting, security fencing and security cameras.
Council discussion was brief. One councilmember said, "We wanna get it done," and the motion to approve the resolution passed 4-0.
Funding and vote: the resolution (25-015 r) authorizes EDC expenditures not to exceed $400,000; council approved the motion with a 4-0 vote.
