The Public Building Commission held a special agenda review Oct. 23 and heard that staff will issue revenue bonds for 2025 and begin the process for the fiscal 2026 major asset replacement program.
At the meeting, Leslie Bridal, budget and financial planning, said, "So the first item is about the PVC bonds, which we discussed already. And the second item is actually the PVC side of an item that we approved 2 weeks ago under the early start item for the BOC to go ahead and get going on the FY 2026 major asset replacement program. And so we will be issuing bonds for the '25 and starting the process for the '26." Bridal added, "I'm Leslie for your budget and financial planning."
Vice Chair Hanslick noted attendance at the start of the review: "There are 4 of us, but we will continue with our agenda review." Commissioner Brewer, who took part in the discussion, said the commission had previously received detailed briefings: "I don't have any questions, but I do wanna say for the record, you have gone into detail at the previous meetings on both of these issues and supplied us with a lot of detail." Bridal said the commission should expect bond bid results next week: "And of course, we will have hopefully good news next week in terms of the bond bid results."
The presentation summarized that the upcoming bond issuance covers the 2025 portion of the capital plan and will also initiate the financing steps tied to the Board of County Commissioners' early-start approval for the FY2026 major asset replacement program. The transcript did not specify the dollar amounts, the exact bond structure, or the anticipated bid results.
No formal motions or votes on the bond issuance were recorded during this agenda review. The commission concluded the agenda review and adjourned.
