At the Oct. 15 Improvement & Services Committee meeting the Department of Public Works reported seasonal and outreach activities.
The director said leaf collection started during the week of Oct. 15 and that the department had not received complaints early in the program. The department announced a ribbon cutting for Country Club Road on Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. and a ribbon cutting and press event on Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. to highlight the mill-and-pave program at Open Gate Trail at Village Green Court in District 12.
Committee members asked for copies of lists of roads to be done so they could share them at neighborhood listening sessions; staff agreed to provide them. The committee voted to receive and place the director's verbal report on file.
End: The director said the department will continue to distribute information about upcoming construction and outreach events to alderpersons and neighborhood groups.
