A meeting in New Shoreham that had been called for Monday, Oct. 15, was postponed after a staff member said a participant was ill, and the single public hearing on the agenda was deferred to “Monday night, the twentieth” at 07:00, the staff member said.
The staff member told the assembled members, “We are not gonna have the scheduled meeting tonight because, among other things, Keith is is sick.” The body then made and seconded a motion to open the public hearing and, after a subsequent motion and second, voted by voice to postpone that public hearing to Monday the 20th at 7:00 p.m., the staff member said. Members also moved, seconded and approved a motion to adjourn.
The actions were taken by voice vote; the meeting transcript records members responding “Aye” when the chair asked “All in favor?” but does not record a roll-call or list individual votes. No additional agenda items were heard during the short, procedural session.
