Commissioner Warren Gully and Commissioner Fields praised IT training modules and online security measures; Commissioner Campbell described an upcoming historic investment in IT in the county's 2026 proposed budget.
Phil Sabino (director of Information Technology) thanked the board and said the county's investments reflect concern for resident data and operational continuity, adding, "it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when" for cybersecurity incidents and that the team is prepared to respond.

The board moved and adopted the proclamation by voice vote (motion moved by Commissioner Roland Gulley; motion seconded on the floor; voice vote: aye; motion adopted). The item was ceremonial and did not authorize funding.
