The Arapahoe County Planning Commission on Sept. 16 voted unanimously to continue Case PP23-002, The Ranch at Watkins Farm, Filing No. 1 preliminary plat, to a date certain of Oct. 21, 2025, at the applicant's request.
Principal Planner Molly Orquill Larsen told the commission the applicant requested a continuance so the applicant, the applicant's water attorney and the consultant who prepared the water study could attend and answer outstanding questions about water rights and flood plains. The public hearing on the case had been held and closed at the commission’s Aug. 19 meeting and was continued to allow the supplemental information to be addressed in person.
Commissioner Latsis moved to continue the case to Oct. 21; Commissioner Miller seconded. The roll call showed a 5 to 0 vote to continue with Commissioner Howe absent and excused.
The record identifies the action as a continuance to enable the applicant to present expert testimony and additional documentation at the Oct. 21 hearing. No substantive deliberation or final decision on the preliminary plat was taken at the Sept. 16 meeting.
