Organizers said the drone show and two food trucks (including tamales) have committed, Tandy Watterson will handle hot cocoa and Wayne Danzy will be the master of ceremonies and audio lead. Council members discussed whether to use a newer parking lot for helpers and buses but raised concerns about single egress and soft ground. One council member suggested reserving the gravelled new lot for buses and people assisting with the event.
The council agreed porta-potties would be necessary, and members planned to contact a vendor previously used for restroom rentals. They also discussed cleaning access roads, clearing gates and removing debris around trailers and staging areas prior to the event.
There was also a light-hearted discussion about bringing out highland cows or goats as an attraction; a council speaker said such an idea would likely draw people, but members treated the suggestion informally and no decision was made.
No formal action or budget approval occurred during the discussion; council members said they would continue coordination with vendors and volunteers and return to the council with any items that require formal approval.
