The board voted to:
- Approve temporarily suspending certain Alabama Administrative Code provisions to allow electronic voting and quorum procedures (unanimous). - Approve the meeting agenda and the Jan. 14, 2021 meeting minutes (unanimous). - Adopt a proclamation naming February 2021 as Career and Technical Education Month in Alabama and recognize related staff and students (unanimous). - Adopt a resolution recognizing Emily Hurst as the Barbara Fannie Memorial employee for January–March 2021 (unanimous). - Adopt Alabama Administrative Code Rule 290-4-3-.03 pertaining to Alabama’s core teaching standards (unanimous). - Announce intent to adopt amended Alabama Administrative Code chapter 290-8-8 pertaining to specialized treatment centers (unanimous). - Approve an alternative elementary-education (K–6) educator-preparation program at Faulkner University (unanimous). - Adopt a resolution recognizing National School Breakfast Week (unanimous).
