At the meeting the Village of Tivoli Board of Trustees voted to adopt several administrative policies, approve routine budget modifications and authorize participation in the New York CLASS cooperative investment program.
Budget modifications approved at the meeting moved smaller sums between line items to reflect actual spending. Specific transfers discussed included: $2,077 from the police line to the justice line; $94 from the village clerk line to central printing; $2,013 from contingency to commercial insurance; $6,410 from park and open space to playground payroll; $413 from DPW administration to Tivoli rec camp summer payroll; and $867 from solid waste to celebrations and street painting. Trustees approved the treasurer's report noting total disbursements for the month of $440,690.99 and authorized payment of bills.
The board adopted an email-use policy intended to define acceptable use of the village email system; a breach-notification policy to align responses to suspected breaches of private and confidential information with state and federal requirements; a workplace harassment policy; and a resolution adopting the State of New York deferred compensation plan for eligible village employees. The resolutions authorize appropriate officials to execute necessary documents and to file required paperwork with state agencies where applicable.
Trustees also passed a municipal cooperation resolution authorizing Village Treasurer Bonnie Day to participate in the New York CLASS program, which the board described as a pooled investment product for municipalities intended to provide liquidity and yield on temporarily idle funds. Officials said the move was intended to earn interest on funds not currently needed for operations.
All routine resolutions and the budget modifications were approved by voice vote.
