Clatsop County planning panel continues four dredged-material ordinances to Sept. 9

The Clatsop County Planning Commission on Aug. 12 voted to continue four ordinances related to placement of dredged material disposal in the Columbia River Estuary to its Sept. 9 meeting.
The continuance was moved and seconded during the planning commission's regular session and approved by voice vote with commissioners present indicating “aye.” Chair Kraschauer was absent. Community Development Director Gail Henrikson announced the cases would return at the commission's next meeting on Sept. 9, 2025.
The four items were introduced at the start of the public hearing portion of the agenda and described by staff as ordinances connected to the placement of dredged material disposal in the Columbia River Estuary. Commissioners moved to continue the four cases, saying the items will be scheduled for the September planning commission meeting. The commission did not take further substantive public testimony or make changes to the ordinances at the Aug. 12 meeting.
The commission's roll call at the meeting showed Commissioners Stefanovic, Linder, Ithaca and Vice Chair Johnson present; Chair Kraschauer was recorded as absent. The record shows the continuance was approved by voice vote and the cases were scheduled to return to the commission on Sept. 9, 2025.
