The Glocester Town Council on Oct. 16 authorized reissuing a special-event permit to Mulberry Vineyards for Nov. 8, 2025. The vineyard’s owner requested a reissue after a previously granted permit for Oct. 12, 2025 was surrendered following severe weather that canceled live music.

David Wright, the winemaker for Mulberry Vineyards, was identified in the meeting packet. Councilors moved and seconded a motion to authorize the permit for the date described in the application file, and the council approved the motion.

The authorization allows the vineyard to proceed with the planned event on Nov. 8 under the town’s special-event rules; the council record shows the motion passed without objection.
