The Parlier City Council’s regular meeting scheduled for Oct. 16, 2025, was canceled after the acting city clerk announced there was no quorum and no members of the public were present, and any items on the agenda were rescheduled for Nov. 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.

"This meeting is canceled," said Bertha Scalera, acting city clerk for the City of Parlier, after announcing the date and the time.

Scalera told those on the line that it was 6:30 p.m. when she made the announcement and that, because no council members constituted a quorum and no public attendees appeared, the regular meeting would not proceed. She said items would be taken up at the next regular meeting set for Nov. 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.

No formal actions were taken and there were no agenda items considered at the Oct. 16 session because the meeting was canceled at the outset.
