Board approves consent agenda across finance, facilities, education and personnel; hires Allen W. Roberts physical education teacher

Other meeting business

Committee chairs reported progress on the district strategic plan and committee goals (curriculum/instruction/technology, finance/facilities/safety, and personnel). A member of the public, Catherine Biber (PTSA co-president), announced a board-candidate forum scheduled for Oct. 22 and said the community may submit questions through a Google form posted on the high school PTSA Facebook page.

Near the end of the public portion, the board chair requested a motion to recess to a closed session for HIB and student matters. A motion was moved and the meeting recessed for a closed session; the public portion was then closed.
