The Washoe County Regional Animal Services advisory board approved the August minutes and later voted to adopt its proposed 2026 meeting schedule during the Oct. 17 meeting.

At the start of the meeting the board moved to approve the August minutes; a voice vote was taken and the chair announced the motion passed unanimously. Membership present at roll call included Chair Naomi Duer, Vice Chair Trudy Broussard, Clara Andreola, Diaz Dixon, Jill Fisher, Julie McMahon and Joe Rodriguez.

Later in the meeting a motion to adopt the proposed 2026 calendar (with a change requested to move the February meeting to Feb. 13 in the afternoon) was made and approved by voice vote. The chair announced the motion passed unanimously.

Why it matters: approval of minutes is a routine procedural step that records the official record. Adoption of the calendar sets future meeting timing and deadlines for report preparation, public notice and guest presentation submission.
