LDFA staff told the board that, with roughly four years remaining on the 2014 Tecumseh SmartZone TIF plan, this is an opportune time for a structured review of goals and accomplishments.
Staff said they had revisited the original TIF plan and the Ann Arbor Spark agreement and proposed sending a short survey to board members to gather priorities. The staff presentation said they met with Ann Arbor Spark in July and that a small working group (city managers and LDFA staff) had already begun brainstorming options to present during the January budget and planning cycle.
Board members welcomed the proposal, noting that some original TIF priorities are easy to forget without a structured review. Staff recommended returning in January with a short list of focused priorities and potential projects for inclusion in the next budgeting round.
No board action was required; the item was presented for information and planning.
