The Court Reporters Board voted to adopt a new logo developed in partnership with the Department of Consumer Affairs' design team. The board chose Option 1, a modern word-art treatment leveraging the board’s initials (CRB) and stylized pillars to symbolize the board’s role in supporting the courts and the legislative origin of its authority.
Member Mike Dodge Nam, who chaired the logo committee, said the design choices aimed to be inclusive of different court reporting modalities (stenography, voice, captioning and future technologies) and to maintain continuity with DCA’s visual family. Members praised the work and selected Option 1 by roll call vote.
Board staff will coordinate with DCA’s publications and design office to finalize artwork, implement the new branding on board materials, and update web and printed assets.
