Belle of Baton Rouge receives annual certificate of compliance after reinspection

Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Lewis Jr. presented the State Fire Marshal’s inspection findings for Belle of Baton Rouge and requested the Louisiana Gaming Control Board issue the casino its annual certificate of compliance.
Mr. Lewis said the State Fire Marshal began inspections on Sept. 18 and noted deficiencies at the temporary landside facility. The property corrected those issues and a follow‑up reinspection later that same day found no outstanding deficiencies; the board packet included the fire marshal’s reports. A motion to issue the certificate of compliance, which will expire Oct. 31, 2026, was moved by Miss Lewis and seconded by Miss Traylor. There was no opposition and the motion carried.
