At the May 8 meeting the commission received the director’s report covering fiscal and administrative matters.
The director reported fiscal‑year 2025 expenditures are on target and that the commission presented a budget request for fiscal year 2026 to the Senate Finance Committee and the House Committee on Appropriations; staff said there were no substantive questions from those committees. The director also said the commission is working on a required update to its strategic plan, noting Title 39 of the Louisiana statutes requires a five‑year strategic plan be revised at least every three years and that a new 2025 requirement adds an efficiency indicator and identification of the top five performance indicators.
The director reminded commissioners that Tier 2.1 financial disclosure statements are due to the Board of Ethics by May 15, 2025. The director noted the next commission meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2025 and closed the report.
