Shreveport City Council approves multiple resolutions, ordinances and appointments; introduces additional legislation

The Shreveport City Council voted on a slate of personnel confirmations, resolutions and ordinances during its meeting on Aug. 19, approving contracts, budget amendments and property actions and introducing several zoning and budget ordinances for later consideration.

The council confirmed William C. Bradford Jr. to an executive appointment (result recorded as passing) and approved Stephanie Simmons as deputy building official for Public Works permits and inspector division. Members also approved multiple resolutions authorizing donations and property dedications, a supplemental engineering agreement for SCADA upgrades, and actions related to gas pipeline servitudes and water/sewer main extensions. The council adopted several ordinances amending 2025 budgets and declaring city property surplus.
