Commission adopts second reading of home-rule resolution amending nuisance code

The Shawnee County Board of County Commissioners adopted on second reading Home Rule Resolution 2025-2, which amends select portions of the county nuisance code.

Kyle Edelman of the county councilor’s office appeared for the second reading and said the commission could approve and adopt the resolution at Tuesday’s meeting; he noted the first reading had been thorough and that he would stand for questions. No substantive questions were raised during the second reading and the item passed 3-0.

Commissioner Bill Rippon moved for approval; Commissioner Aaron Mays seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
