Marion County approves easement, hires reappraisal aide and adopts resolutions noting fiber and factory

The Marion County Commission in Hamilton approved several routine and substantive items during its regular meeting, including an easement to allow private access to land off County Highway 68, a contract hire to assist the county’s reappraisal work, and two resolutions acknowledging local infrastructure and economic developments.

The actions affect property access, county property valuation capacity and local economic activity. Commissioners recorded that Tom Bigby Electric Cooperative fulfilled an obligation to extend high‑speed fiber Internet to more than 100,000 residents in northwest Alabama and that BG Manufacturing held a grand opening after taking over the former Brilliant Homes facility in Brilliant.
