The Longwood City Commission on Sept. 4 approved the consent agenda, which included meeting minutes and expenditures, by roll-call vote. Commissioners voted yes (Deputy Mayor Shoemaker, Commissioner Boney, Commissioner McMillan, Commissioner Morgan and Mayor Brian Sackett). The consent motion carried; staff noted a few follow-up questions for the city manager.
During recognitions, District 3 Commissioner McMillan nominated Jeff Taylor as the business person of the month for September 2025; commissioners approved the nomination by voice vote. Later, District 2 Commissioner Boney nominated Scott Toshlog to a parks-related board seat; the commissioners confirmed that appointment by voice vote.
