The Torrington Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan Oct. 15 to convert the vacant Sports Palace at 25 Pine Ridge Road into an M&T Bank branch with a drive‑up ATM and night‑drop, imposing conditions on curbing, screening, lighting and signage.
Representatives for M&T presented plans showing a 1.6‑acre site layout with a drive‑up ATM/night‑drop on the north side of the building and a 15‑space parking lot on the south. "The bank is asking for 15 parking spaces to make the site viable for their employees and customers to use the property," architect Steve Movali said during the presentation.
