Commissioners who participated in the interviews said Farino was their collective choice. Commissioner Duval said the commission interviews led to Farino being selected and welcomed him. Acting city attorney Golan, who served as interim, was thanked by commissioners for his service.
The commission approved the city attorney employment agreement by a 5–0 vote. The contract was executed consistent with the memo presented; the city manager and outside negotiators handled final negotiations and will coordinate onboarding and a phased transition.
