Chiefs from the Richardson Fire Department returned to the City Council to update members on actions taken since the department completed a strategic master plan last year and to present a revised timeline for capital projects, apparatus purchases and personnel.

Chief Poopy, joined by Chief Younger and Chief Kaske, said the department is keeping much of the original schedule but has suggested several changes to spread hiring and speed up the Station 7 program. “The next step is simple. If you're good with it ... we will put a resolution for you to consider adopting the Fire Master Plan,” Chief Poopy told council.
