Commissioners approve utilities projects, appropriations, contracts and appointments; CT Consultants payment draws one abstention

The Lake County Board of Commissioners approved a package of routine and project resolutions covering utilities projects, appropriations and cash transfers, contract actions and planning commission appointments.

Major items approved included a resolution approving plans, specifications and an estimated cost of $2,959,000 for the Evergreen Road pump station improvements (project 480S2024) and authorizing advertising for bids with a bid opening scheduled for Sept. 17, 2025; multiple appropriations and cash transfers within the Lake County Department of Utilities project funds; acceptance of a three‑year maintenance bond for water lines in Old School Village Subdivision in the City of Wickliffe in the amount of $12,777.85; approval of final change order No. 1 with DV Bentley Inc. for the Lakeshore Boulevard waterline replacement (project 448W2021), increasing the contract by $70,473; and rejection of the bid received July 16, 2025 for the Aquarius raw pump station traveling screens (project 470W2023).

The commission also approved Job and Family Services vouchers dated Aug. 22, 2025 in the amount of $653,015.53; authorized payment of bills as listed on the commissioner's approval journal totaling $3,465,986.78;…
